Default Hit a deer.

I'm ok. The bike is ok. The deer is dead.
It ran right at me and hit my engine guard. It could have been really bad. I stood next to it, while it died. The police came, and it was no big deal.
The engine guard was loose, and when I got home, I saw the top mount was bent. Hammered it down, tightened some screws and now it's beautiful again.
Just wanted to tell someone and didn't feel Facebook was appropriate.
Ride safe and Thanks for the ear!

Glad you're ok! It's that time and we have to watch for the deer ever more. I try and be in the garage before dark these days. Be safe!

Man, you're so lucky to have survived that. Every time I ride back up the mountain at night I'm watching as good as possible for them. The thought of slamming a big buck scares the hell out of me.

A few weeks ago at dusk, a big f'ing Cougar ran across the road about 500' in front of me. They weigh in at 175 to 200 lbs. That wouldn't be much fun to hit either.

Glad it all worked out for you
