Yesterday while out on a run, after stopping, when I restarted my bike the security icon and engine icon came on as usual when starting up. Then the security icon came on again. I stays on for 7 to 8 seconds then goes out. Never reappears until starting the bike again.. 2005 Heritage Softail
Any suggestions.

The light that comes on and goes off after a little bit is telling you that there is a stored code in your ecm. This will happen for teh first 50 starts after the code has been stored.
