can you mix tire brands??

Deciding on the new Train .I want to keep the rear wheel and tire that it came with but want to go to a Metzler 90/90 and a Hog Pro wheel on the front.Is that ok to do or will it not work?

You can mix, many have. Stopping is controlled by you, not a proportioning valve. Cars are mixed, as long as you don't have bias ply and radials.

i have run Dunlop on the front Avon in the rear , couldn't really tell the difference

You can mix. I ran Avon on front and Dunlop on Back for a couple of months.

I've got a 93 FXSTS, with a fairly new dunlop on the rear. I need a new front tire, but the right size dunlop is backordered for a couple of months, so I just ordered the Avon. I haven't installed it yet, but I'm hoping it will be ok...
