Bought a left handed one and then bought a tool set that wraps up quite nicely. Tool set resides in the bags and the chrome tool box is still in the box in the shed. These things are quite large. You may want to see one installed before buying. If you're only going with one I'd think the right hand would be best given the bike tilts to left when on it's stand.
I have one on the left side and I have it stuffed with tools. ( See signature pic )
Liked it so much that I got one for the right side for cell phone, sunglasses, etc etc. After a while I discovered that it was a pain in the butt to take that stuff out every time you get off your bike so I removed it as It's only 3 bolts. I may put it back on but it's the fall season now and I put that stuff in my Jacket. I'm just a weekend warrior on my bike so...
