I've had this bike now for around 5 months and I really like it. The one thing that keeps bugging me is these crappy looking dash lights. I don't know if it is a deuce specific thing, softail thing or what. I like the rest of the dash so I don't want to replace it all, I just want lights that don't look so plastic-y and just cheap. Also the high beam light is too bright, the neutral light is too dim, etc.
Anyone know of a replacement for just the indicator light part? I'm thinking of something chrome with the indicator etched out, so when they are off you see the shape of the light but when on you see a BRIGHT light.
yeah i was thinking of taking that plastic insert out of there an making my own with LED indicators. I was hoping something just existed that I could snap in though...
Paint polishing: mostly it was a crappy picture, taken with my cell phone and there is some wierd reflection in there. But it could definitely use a cleaning. I ride to work 4-5 days a week so the bike gets its share of dust and dirt.
Yes its the high beam indicator that is super bright. Distractingly bright. Where you can barely see the neutral indicator in any kind of light. And the cheap looking plastic discolored indicator lights are not worthy of this bike ;-)
