I'm trying to figure out how to remove the gas tank from my '06 Deluxe. Does anyone have instructions or a how-to video? This is much more difficult than my old carbed Honda used to be.
1 bolt in the rear of the tank and 1 long one up front ... take those out..
VERY IMPORTANT!!! just under the left side of the tank is a fuel line. quick disconnect it. pops right out... be careful very easy to break.
Take off dash and speedo ect... wires are all easy to disconnect.
grab some vise grips or something and clamp off the front crossover line on both sides.. then cut that line in half ... Oh yea empty gas as good as you can before you cut this line.. Or you will be getting high from gas fumes...lol ... could be good? JK!!!!!!
You may want to place a towel or something over the tank before you pull it... just in case ... no paint scratching.
