check www.smartpartz.com They build baffles for just about all the aftermarket pipes. They should be able to come up with something that will work for you......paul
Will a baffle from a different company sound different than a baffle i already have?
Im real dumb about this stuff, all i know is i have V&H fishtails on my heritage. The "quiet baffle" was a sound i just didnt like, so i popped the standard baffle back in and i like it.
while waiting for my rush slipons...... for the heck of it today i yanked the stock baffles out to see whats what.
after a bit of contemplating i decided to cut half the length of the baffle off (remove front half). i left enough that the plate that keeps it from being a straight pipe is still present. basically i removed the catalyst and the first stage of baffle holes. then a few 3/8 holes drilled in the remaining baffle screen. left out the glass mats.
it now sounds like my 883 with screamin eagle slipons.
not a bad sound... not too tinny.. but still not low/rumbly enough for me.
i"ll fool with these some more after my slipons get here... just for kicks.
Just get one from Big City Thunder. As long as you know the inside diameter of of your pipes you can get one and in my opinion, they're the only baffles I'd ever run. They give you just enough back pressure to not lose the performance but still give a good sound. With that being said, I didn't buy a Harley to go fast so I run straight pipes but I did use them before on a previous bike and they're awesome.
