Default 2 up seating for a springer

We just bought our first harley...a 2006 softail springer. We do mostly 2 up riding and need a comfy seat. We have been looking at the Corbin dual tour saddle, sundowner deep bucket or the softail FX seat with rider backrest. Does anyone have any hints or suggestions or experience with any of these or suggestions fro any others??? Thanks

I use a Corbin on my touring bike. It takes some getting used to but once it breaks you in everything else is too squishy. Many folks swear by the Sundowner.

For two-up comfortable seats, I would recommend investigating more about that corbin tour seat, but I also can't anything but great things about my Mustang.. Wide Vintage Solo and matching wide passenger seat. The passenger seat is the widest, thickest one I've seen.. looks very comfy for the passenger, I'd say. Check out my gallery. They seem to be made for touring, but about the same height as stock and far far better quality than any HD seats I've seen.. rivets instead of staples underneath to a metal pan rather than plastic and much better padding material.. most comfortable seat I've ever owned.. They make two piece or one piece versions with or without rider backrests. I did sit on a corbin tour seat at their booth at a rally and it was nice, but can't speak on how it would be for a lot of miles. The mustangs seem to be more traditionally or retro styled where the corbins are a bit more "custom".

Lepera - go to thier site and check out thier seats. They offer a "foam program" where they send you the seat without the covering and you describe the mods you want and then they custom fit the foam to you and your Mrs. I did it for my Glide and it is the best seat I've ever had of any of the 14 Bikes I've owned.

The Corbins are great seats but out of my price range. I have a Sundowner on my Sportser for 2-up and wife and I love it. For solo riding we both have Mustang vintage solos.

For the FXSTS we are going with a Mustang vintage solo and rider pillion. Good comfort, value, and allows for quick change between 2-up and solo setup.

I've got the Sundowner (deep bucket) on my FLSTSC and love it. I intended on having it just for when I went 2-up with the wife, but ended up leaving it on for good. Like kicking back on a little couch. Drops you somewhere between 1 to inches in the seat as well. Negative comments I've heard people mention are it moved some people into an ackward position (depending on the bike) and many think it's too wide (not good if you're going for the chopped bike look). I love it.
