You'll be happy with the upgrade. Its not going to do anything drastically different, just give you a bit more power in the low to mid range and act a bit more refined overall.
The best way I can describe it like they used super lube on the throttle cables. The power seems to come on in a more linier fashion, without the little steps or jumps, like you can get from a sticking cable.
I never noticed anything "wrong" before. But I'm not the best guy to say because this is my first Harley, and I really don't have a decent reference to go from.
What's worse is that while I have had a MC ticket for over 35 years. Till now I haven't done a heck of a lot of riding.
I have put more miles on this bike in three months than all the bikes I have ridden since I sold my first bike back in the middle 70's.

what was the recall i am having my bike serviced saturday and was wondering if that recall is for my bike to!!!!!!!!!
I have the Fxstsse cvo springer. and what was the bulleton number on what bulleton!
The bulletin number is M-1186.
Its not a true recall, more of a service upgrade, but if you want to see if your bike is on the list for it you can go to the HD web site, put your seial number in and it will tell you if its on the list for it. Or anything else that might be out there for it.
Here's the link to the service site;

Beautiful bike, detonator!
Thanks for the recognition! I also want to thank Citoriplus for links..
The recall is for my bike too. I wonder if they can flash ecm for open exhaust at the same time and how much it would cost?

No big deal, just a few mouse clicks and key strokes to help a fellow Hog rider isn't a problem at all.
Not sure they can do a "flash" for the open pipes. I'm thinking that they probably only have "canned" setups. Your best bet might be to get a SERT or a PCIIIusb and use that after they do the bulletin update. But ask the guys at your local dealer, they may have something that would help, under the table as it were.

it has more power than anyone needs the six speed is great
Bite your tongue, some nutburger in upper managment might hear you, and think your serious.
Your not serious are you?
Mine doesn't run hot,
it hits the rev limiter at 95 in 3rd and doesn't sound wound yet. It's got enough for me
95 mph in 3rd and it doesn't sound wound yet? You can't be serious. On a side note, had the 0903 download done today on my '07' FLSTC and now the bike runs much smoother. The biggest difference I've noticed is how quiet the engine is, especially when you roll on the throttle. Oil temps at 220 degrees in stop and go traffic in S. Florida heat. The bike got so hot in the first 800 miles, it bubbled the chrome on the leading edges of exhaust pipes. Amsoil solved that problem. Dealer is replacing the pipes.
I havn't had any problems with my 07. I just got the Service Bulletin done the other night. It was a short ride back from the dealer but I agree with the other guys that it is smoother now.
I Can't be happier, had the mod done its smoother and the throttle response (before recall the only thing I was unhappy with) is better. I came out of a VTX 1800 tones of power but didn't handle nearly as nice as my Heritage. The other thing I am very pleased with is the six speed, it so nice on the highway when you make that switch into sixth gear.
