Default Turn signal hitting the engine guard?

Installed the engine guard on the 2012 Heritage Softail. Noticed this evening that the left turn signal is hitting the engine guard when the bike is parked.

Confirmed that it is the correct engine guard.

Is this normal? Anyone else notice something like this?

I just installed an engine guard on my 2012 heritage and the left turn signal just clears but not by much. My engine guard is not an HD engine guard but an aftermarket off Ebay. Not sure what the remedy would be if it touches. Good luck

My main concern is that the weight of the front fork is resting on the turn signal and could damage the signal over time.

Unfortunately, using the fork lock doesn't help in this situation -- when locked, the turn signal still rests on the engine guard.

Turn signals clear the HD engine guard (49023-02A) on my 2010 Heritage by over an inch. I'd check with the dealership.

This is part number 49004-00A and, according to my local dealership, is the correct model for the 2012 Heritage Classic.

Looks the same as mine (only yours is chrome). Both are supposed to fit FL 00 and newer. You paid good money for it, I'd ask the service dept if they can figure it out. Good luck and enjoy your Heritage - it's an awesome bike!
