Default 12" apes w/ factory cables?

So I did a search to try and find my answer but never found a defenitive answer for 12" apes using factory wires/cables on a '08 Heritage. Seen some who had them and had replaced cables but didn't say if they had to or not. Seen another post that had replaced cables/wires even with the wild 1 10" mini apes, but that may have just been for the looks. Seen a post where people had used 4" pull back risers with factory 10" apes on '09 and newer Heritages but I'm not sure that the cables and wires are them same length on mine as the newer ones. Bottom line will 12" apes fit my '08 Heritage with factory cables/wires? Thanks.

I have 12.5" apes and I needed to go +6 on the cables. I have my bars pushed forward, I'm not sure how much a difference that makes either way.

I installed the 4" pullback risers from a Deluxe under the stock bars on my '11 Heritage, no cable changes needed. I was about 14" high with the bars in line with the forks.
I later went with 16" apes, and used 6+ cables. Hope that helps...

Thanks for the responses. Sounds like I may need to just look at trying 10" mini apes. May try the factory mini apes off of the '09 and newer Heritage. I didn't care for the factory Heritage bars for the '08 and older. I installed a set of krome werks sweeper bars that I had (not in sig pic) and don't mind those, but I put a T-bag windshield bag on and that thing is so big I had to roll the bars back to keep from rubbing on the bag. The sweepr bars are narrower than the factory 10" mini apes so I would be able to push those back forward a bit. Thanks again.

Yeah that sounds good. What do ya want for them? Doubt I can get out your way during the week, maybe Friday, but I'll work on riding out there on the weekend if you'll be around. Thanks man. BTW, I'm in Moore.
