The 06 Softail used the Dunlop D205 200/55R17 tire. The 07's like my Custom use a Dunlop D407. These are the only tires in this size that I can find and the 407 is not even listed on the Dunlop website. No one else seems to make this size tire. Has anyone found one?
Second question. For anyone who worn out a 200 rear tire, how many miles did you get?
Thanks
I got 4000 miles until a nail ruined it. I ended getting a replacement dunlop d205 from Zanotti's. I had a hard time finding it because dunlop had only released them to HD dealers. The other retailers had to wait to get them.
The 210 is just a hair wider.
I would never consider one because it's also a lower profile tire with a shorter sidewall, and doesn't look as big from the side.
My next tire will be a Dunlop D407.
I like the way they look.
Frisco42, what brand windshield is that? Is it quick detachable?
It's Harley part number 91820-85A. They call it a Sport Windshield. It is not detachable.
It mounts to the top tree and to the handlebars with some clamps. It can be adjusted up-down and in-out to suit the rider.
I like a small windscreen that just keeps the wind off of my chest, but allows my face in the wind.
