Congrats! I'm jealous!! The Deluxe is the most beautiful Harley made nowadays! Very elegant.

PLEASE don't ruin it with those dopey lookin' 10 foot long fishtails & 21" front wheel like some people do. That would be a sacriledge!

What color you getting? Love that new red & white;sunburst I think it's called.

Cool

Congratulations!! I agree with what others have said that the Deluxe is one of the most beautiful bikes from H-D.

My wife went from a Nightster to the Deluxe and she could not be happier. Glad you went with ABS, although we have not had any oh-**** moments, ABS is a great option to have...wish I had picked the one with it for her.

From this:

To this:

Forget about the parts from the Sporster... Deluxe comes very well setup from the factory.

Only thing we put on was the windshield, engine guard, nice passenger footpegs, Get-A-Grip grips in chrome, flush mount gas cap, a passenger backrest that is seldom on the bike , and a few chrome pieces here and there (levers, master cylinder cover)... I had the complete Willie G. Skull cover set from my previous RGC and since it was just sitting there we put that on. But wife really wants the Diamond series covers...

If you plan to put many miles on the bike and don't do much wrenching yourself then get the extended warranty, just for peace of mind.

Damn, they make 10' fishtails? I wish I would have know that before I put these 39's on.

Congrats on the new scoot. Here's how I would decide on the extended service plan: If you plan on putting a LOT of miles on it, I would get it. 3-5K miles per year? Not worth it.

I wasnt going to get it on my new scoot, but when it became clear that I will be taking some long trips this spring and summer, I decided to hop in.

I went from an '09 1200C to an '11 Deluxe, and all I could pillage from my Sporty before I traded her in was the black mirrors, turn signal smoked lenses, and fork bag - nothing else fit the new ride!

I agree with Dickey, very elegant bike! I also think you will like the ABS. Don't notice it until ya need it and then it takes the "Oh s**t" out of those "Oh s**t" moments. Congrats!!!

Here she is guys. My 2011 Harley Softail Deluxe with ABS, a Windshield, a crash bar. I got the extended warranty, gap, and a 3 year maintenance plan. So all my maintenance is built into the bike. Rode her home in the cold and dark. She was smooth :-)
She doesn't have a name yet for those that asked on FB :-)
Those that don't know me I ride a lot. The red mistress I had for exactly 2 years and I put almost 27,000 miles on her. Spent money on gear (I am a gear rider) and tires. Most of the mods I made included rhinestones or bling plus a seat and a radio. Radio will move to new bike and seat along with a bunch more will get sold on ebay. Glad to be a part of the soft tail forum
