What brand bars do you have on your bike? My bike is exactly the same color as is the breather and other things.

Thanks,

Carl

Seems at my height (5'9") and inseam (30") that the mustache bar with added pegs would give me the most options, but I'm a little hesitant on the look. Maybe I'll stop at the local shop and take a look at some used bikes, maybe seeing in person will help.

Also I'm surprised at how wide the standard bars are. In the book the picture makes them look very compact and narrow, but the pics you guys posted up of the standard bars look as wide as the nostalgic ones, just not as curved. So right now it's betwwen the std bars with pegs or the mustache bar with pegs. I noticed no one seems to have the nostalgic ones.

Mal74, are they standard bars on your bike? I couldn't tell for sure.

Thanks Very Much Again All!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's a bunch of us who have the Nostalgic guards, just thought U didn't want them so I wasn't going to answer..

Also 6'2"" and 32 inseam, but I dont/can't stretch out even if I had pegs.
With my back I cant do it, puts too much pressure on the lower Vertebrae that I shattered yrs ago.

I have in 5yrs had my bike twice go over in the garage, both times slick floor, but I'll say the bars stopped it from going all the way. Both times it just stops at about a 45* angle.
So I really like the Nostalgic bars.

I put the standard bars on my 2012 Heritage . . . Took only a day or two to get used to the look. Glad I got 'em. Had a couple of close calls with wet leaves and such so decided to pull the trigger.

Here's a few pics that may help you in your decision. First two are of my wife's Deluxe and my Heritage with the moustache bar and third is of her Deluxe with standard bars. I initially went with the moustache bar because I thought it was more versatile in that it would double as highway pegs. Didn't work out too well. Tops are too far inward to be of much use for me. Wife also chose the moustache for her Deluxe.

Long story short, we both now have the standard bars with the HD 360 pegs. I used to have the pegs on my moustache bars but you can only go so high on them. I like the higher range of the standards. Plus I think they look so much better on softails. Don't have any pictures of the standards on my Heritage that I know of but the pic of them on my wife's Deluxe should suffice. BTW, her bike was decked out for a parade .

Here's a couple more. Having had both the moustache and standard I see no real benefit to the moustache unless you actually like the way they look. Of course when I decide to sell mine, I'll say they're the greatest thing in the world .

Interesting, at 6'2" I prefer the pegs mounted lower on the bar... One of those things like looks, personal taste and personal comfort. Seats could also affect this some what.
