Any of you guys or gals that run with 16" apes ever use a windshield with them for longer trips? I want to put the apes on but I also enjoy the windshield on the longer trips, so just putting a feeler out there on the subject.

I think the only issue with windshields and apes would be how you have the apes positioned.If you have them forward like me everytime you use the windshield you would have to pull the apes back to allow the windshield.

You jsut gotta kep you bars so the shield fits on. I like mine pushed forward, which won't work with apes...I have a barrel bag that sits on top of the headlight that works almost as good as a windshield on trips and such...

I Think it might look Kinda custom if you had a windshield cut down to fit inside the apes. and then came up with a way to attach it to the bars. Then you could tilt them anyway you want.
Apes are the perfect frame for a one of a kind custom windshield. If i had apes i'd figure a way to do that..................ANY Thoughts?

I run 16 inch High Bars with 2 in risers. Around town I really don't bother, but if I'm hitting the highway, I throw on my winshield. It makes one helluva difference. I got a pic somewhere...

I put my windshield on when on long trips with the great possiblity of weather in the forcast, otherwise no windshield

My bars were a bit more forward when I first put it all together, but the winshield edge actually gouged my front brake line so I pulled the bars back an inch.
I won't do a highway trip anymore without the windshield. Nothing wrong with getting the force of 70+ mph across your chest, but with the windshield there's lots less fatigue especially after a few hundred miles.
