Default Fair price for a Blackline?

I've been shopping for a used Softtail for a few months now, and went to look at the dealer I got my street glide from. I showed some interest in a 2011 Blackline that he has not been able to sell since the 2012's came out. Well, long story short, he shot me an e-mail yesterday with a better offer.

New 2011 Blackline, Orange/Black, ABS and Security for 14,750 (bike lists for 17K+ with those options) out the door. I'm looking for an older Night Train or Standard, but he's making this hard to pass up. This will be a second bike, so I'm having a hard time rationalizing that much for a second bike, but I'm strongly considering moving on this deal.

Any thoughts or comments would be appriciated, I think this is too good to pass up

There was a time you had to pay MSRP to buy a bike, IF you could find the one you wanted. Obviously those days are gone but IMO that's a good price for that bike and you might be able to squeeze a few more accessories or free service out of them. Also, I shot you a PM about a bike for sale.

Sounds like a great deal. Is that price out the door w/taxes and all other fees paid?

That is the out the door price. Roadkingharry, didn't realize I had a PM. Let me think about it, sounds like a fair price for a great bike.

Keep in mind that the Blackline is the cheapest version of the softails so your only comparison point is other blacklines.

If you like it, buy it. If not, then I would get something 2009 or later with the same investment. The warranty would be the only real difference, then, IMHO.

Although I'm not sure if the newer twin cams come with the hydraulic cam chain tensioners from the factory... of if that is still an 'upgrade'. That might tip the scales for me as to what year to buy, also. Especially if they came on the 2011's but none earlier.
