Default Screen Detachable hardware

My Deluxe had a detachable screen fitted when I bought it and I had no intention of using it so I sold it, if I remove the hardware from the bike what do I need to replace them?, what size bolts ? I have no idea.

Take one off and find a hardware store that sells chrome hardware. match up the thread and minus the thickness of the plastic windshield dock washer.

I just looked at one and it looks to be 5/16-24

Try and get a button head with a hex like the stock.

Dealerships wont order you a stock set unless you (or maybe them) can get a part number.

I ordered a set for my deluxe and it was the wrong set so they aren't too swift when it comes to that type of thing sometimes.

You can also polish stainless hardware if you have a wheel and some rouge

Dont forget the washers...those will be real fun to polish..lol

Im lucky, I have a hardaware store a mile away with a full assorment of chrome hardware. The only thing that sucks is the price, a half inch long 10-24 cost $2

BTW, isnt it kind of funny that we use English weights and measures and you dont?
