First I'd just like to ask everyone that responds in this thread to keep in mind that this is MY BIKE and the fairing will be detachable (when you think about it everything is detachable with a cutting torch).
With that being said. I have an 05 NT and want the HD Detachable Quarter Fairing mounted on front. The problem is the fact that the mounting kit made for this part is for ONLY 39mm forks. I only want the HD fairing and as nice as the Arlen Ness, Memphis Shades and the others look I'm stuck on this one. I am sure that someone has put one on a NT/Softail before. Before I order it and break out the tools I'd like some ideas/solutions.
One idea that I had was to use the 41mm windshield clamp and move the mounting bracket out 2mm. Help me out fellas!
