If you go with a bar that is 1.25" and does not step at the riser area (like the carlini's) you can use your factory risers like I did.
I ride all day long, the longest ride I have been in one day is 400 and I did not have any issues. The 18"s are pretty tall, I would not recommend that high for you, I would suggest a 14" maybe a 16 if you like the higher bars. A 14 would probably put you at almost shoulder height which is where you want to be for nominal comfort.

Mine aren't stock. The risers are sold separately. I think a fatty comes with 1" thou. I think! So, you can stay with stock if you like it.
Good luck. You will love the apes. Comfy as a ****.
Post some pics once all is said and done...

If you are gonna spend 300 on bars you might as well get a set of Carlini's, they are far better looking than the HD bars in my opinion. I am 6'2" and I have the 18" Gangster apes on my bike.
Thanx man. I think I am bout done with everything I wanted to do, the only other thing I want is a Shotgun shock, I just can't justify the 1500 bones to the wife lol
@ law i hear that its so hard to stop but i bought the lo because of that reason , i figured pipes backrest black lenses and the apes after that im gonna try to leave it as stock as possible @ black thax man !!!

The only reason that I am stopping is because I can't think of anything else to do without going overboard in my opinion lol Both fenders are new, bags added, duals, apes, you name it. I would just like to be able to set it on the ground at shows and stuff but still maintain the ride quality.
