My Bare Bones was like that. I had to push down in the front with a lot more pressure than you would expect, then slide it forward once the tab was down low enough.

Could you put it on by yourself, and was it a problem getting it off?
OK all set. I just had to use some extra strength to push it it down. I just assumed it should of slid right in. Looks sick, feels like a rock, but haven't rode it yet and its cold.
looks sweet, does LePera offer gel when you order them? Im gonna get a solo seat for mine at some point for runnin around town. Gotta take my 2up seat in for gel and some shaping after I get the handlebars changed out.

yes you can get gel. I went with LePera because you can still put the passenger pad on with it. (seen in last pic)
I really like the looks of it, only thing is I thought it would have the red seem around the seat. Didnt realize it wasnt standard and it was a Christmas gift. Still looks killer to me.
I was told by Lepera that the Bare Bones with gel doesn't offer any more comfort compared to the standard seat. Plus, the gel will absorb more heat in the summer time causing your **** to be a little toasty if the bike has been sitting in the sun.

thanks for the help.
Here are some pics (sorry only had my ipad)
The seat looks the Dogs bro! Love the red diamond stitch!
