I suppose I'm not very observant, but it took my wife noticing about a week ago that my tank emblem says "Firefighters Special Edition". What do you know. Any more amongst y'all?
Awesome, I know they made Road Kings FF editions but I wasn't sure about Heritage. When they first came out I remember you had to show them proof that you were a active FF, at least at our local sealership.. That's a cool bike.
That's kind of funny. You need to pay more attention to your bike man.
No kidding, haha. I knew it was "fire engine red" but it never occurred to me to check the tank emblem out closely (it's small print). Surprised the sales dude never mentioned it. That emblem is probably the only thing I haven't looked at with a magnifying glass.
I am glad Harley made special models but man the red paint they use is not even close to fire truck red. They are more maroon than red. Congrats on your find..
Had a 2010 Fatboy Peace Officer Special couple years ago.......it was Police Uniform Blue instead of Red but it had the special metal tank logo also........pretty cool looking.
I'm a retired firefighter and recently bought a 2011 heritage firefighter special edition. When I first saw pics of the bike I didn't know that it was the ff bike and didn't find out until the day I went two states away to buy it. Great bike but I personally have never driven a fire truck in that particular red. Still, since it is what it is, I won't change the color.
When I was shopping for my bike, all FF and police editions etc. were non starters..
Maybe I'm in the minority..Just my own thing, nothing against anyone who cares about them.
I have a 06 Firefighter Edition bike that i got in 06. You need to get the fire chief to sign documentation saying that you are a fireman to get these bikes sold to you as the original purchaser. Mine has badging on the front fender, sissy bar, air cleaner and derby cover that says firefighter.
