Default Fat Boy front tire question

Dyna owner here looking for some help.

I'm going to rebuild my front wheel with a 3.5x17 rim and fit a Fat Boy tire, the later model 140/75R17 size. It's an 06 FXDBi so I'm fairly confident it'll fit between the sliders.

Can any Fat Boy owners tell me a couple of things please?

Firstly, how wide is the front tire at its widest point?

The different brands are presumably slightly different widths so can you also let me know what brand you're running?

Finally how much can you buy this tire for in the States and do you know any dealers that will ship to Europe for a reasonable cost? These tires cost around Ł150 over here.

Thanks in advance

Are you going to use your stock hub and lace the rim to it?

Look, I know it's the holiday season but surely someone is prepared to spend 5 minutes in their garage?

Hey Limey, I have a 2007 Fatboy with a new (few months old) D408F on the front and it measures just at 5.70 inches at the widest part (144.78 mm).... and my garage is really cold this time of the year!

Thanks for braving the cold to go in the garage, much appreciated.

I think 5.70 inches should fit, have to get my front wheel off and check.

Happy new year!
