just hanged up from RWW and they didn't recommend the VEE Rubber so I decided to go the black wall Avons 120/70-21 and 150/80-16. will skip on the white wall to get the widest look on the front tire and the safest ride as well. my new color kit is black is well.
so what do you think guys?
would it look good without the white tire wall?
Talk to Tab at DB tires. He'll make you a 120/70 white wall that beats all white Walsh out there.
Ive got a couple thousand miles on my Vee 120/70...the tire seems to be holding up and performing fine but the white wall is starting to turn brown so that makes the Vee tire basically useless for anyone who wants a white wall.
On the flip side guys like DB want $400 for a custom whitewall which is just stupid money for a front tire unless you have a Corvette.
I am going to wait it out for a 120/70 from a mainstream manufacturer on the next one, should be any time now

Its not $400 for the tire. It's about $100 more than the standard tire
There isn't a 120/70 in production so won't be coming anytime soon, so $100 more is way worth it opposed to a brown wall
I am old and set in my way,,, but having to buy WW tire back in the 60's cause thats all we could get, that is why I hate them.....
only bike I really like WW's on is a Lux that's two toned and it has to be black on the sides of the tins with the center of the Fenders white...
Look at the SIG of MOTown, above,,, thats what I am talking about and like..
I've seen other Lux's that has white paint on the side's and dark color in the middle of the fender's.... That I don't like and IMO Black walls would look better....
