So on the word of the good Dr.V I just picked up a la Pera solo seat with gel but am wondering what bibs everyone recommends that they feel are good quality and are happy with..
When I had a plain black seat I had the Msutang bib. It's about $30 or so. When I got the custom stitching I got a matching bib from C&C. I am sure someone else has other options. That seat is gonna look great. You gotta pull off the sissy bar with that seat too to give it the stripped down and streamlined look.
My scoot is a 2005 Heritage Kozy!! 15 dollars, damn!! Hey Kozy, let me know who you find to do stitching!! I wanna get the seat done. I wanted one like yours but scored this one for $ 75!!!
You might have to find a place with a programmable machine, thats how the seat manufacturers do it. Most places that do embroidery have them but dont do the leather thickness that you need for a bib.
If you can get a 2mm top grain panel done then a custom leather guy (like Tim Wolfe) can then stitch that to a thicker backing.
I don't think Lepera has this style bib available and if C&C does it the diamond size will be different...let us know if you find a solution, i was thinking about this myself

I'll let you know if I find anyone. My girlfriend is a sewer and trying to find a way for her to do it, but gonna ask some shops around too
I had a "creative" one done. I rode down to a local upholstery shop. Picked out the materials and had them do the seat, the tank bib, the fender bib, the passenger seat, and the sissybar pad to match.
I ride solo once in a while, I rode a couple times with the rear seat on but every time I got on it I felt like I was going to slide off the bikes, and no I don't put anything on the seat to make it slick..
ended up making mine out of the stock seat that was in the attic since I bought the wife a new touring rear seat..
U don't have to add the spots, I did to match the bags.
It does two things, its like a fender bib and backrest when I ride solo.. I love it.
