Default Lowering a crossbones

Just wondering if anybody has lowered the rear of their hd crossbones I'm only thinking about going an inch or 2 but with changeing the ride angles am I going to experience any premature belt malfunctions or front end issues I'm prepared to loose some comfort on long hauls but don't wanna end up messing up something expensive like the front end or the trans or primary and I do not plan on lowering the front at all just the rear thanks for the input

I'm interested in this too. I've got to lower the rear on my 08 Bones to match the front when I install the 7.5 degree Vulcan Raked springer stem for my Frankenstein trike conversion. I've already got the fender, wheel, and swingarm off. Anybody got any suggestions for a 1.5" kit that's well made and simple to install?

422's are easy to install and are adjustable

Mine has been dropped 1.5" w/bolts for over 10k miles and i havent had any problems. Not sure if you ride 2-up but if so watch out for the dips and holes!! Wish i had some 422's prolly help the ride alot. Drop it and enjoy!!

Do this kit...
http://www.softailloweringkit.com/index.html

I had it on my bike in less than 30 minutes! It is a great kit and rides awesome. Just by design it is WAY more trustworthy than the common lowering bolts all over eBay. As with any other lowering kit, you will want to stiffen up your shocks once these are installed.

Don't see how that kit would be anymore trustworthy. The bolts won't break, and you'd just be adding that to the stock bolts.

If you go with bolts either do the $20 ( no difference in more expensive ones) on eBay or do the burnout cycles kit

Mine is dropped about 2". No problems at all and the ride isn't too bad. Unfortunately, the previous owner installed the kit and I don't even know what the parts are.
