I bought a new Tach today. I haven't recieved it yet but installation looks pretty simple. A buddy found these at a show years ago and had one for his Fatboy. It's really stealth looking and I wanted one but couldn't find any info on the company. Looks like they went out of business. Today I found some on Ebay. I'm not sure but maybe left over inventory because the add says "when they're gone they're gone". Thought I'd post this just incase anyone might be intrested.
Got a good , clean look , but am afraid you may find the brightness very distracting in the dark especially mounted where it is . My Kuryakyn fuel/voltmeter is also LED and after a year I had to find a way to blackout at least the voltmeter . Hopefully your tach will dim as it gets dark out .
It does dim in the dark. Below I copied the specs on it. It's the only Tach I could find that wasn't tacky (pun intended) looking. I hate the look of the round gauges and I'm not sure I could use them anyway with my Windvest. I have the led volt meter and fuel guage from Kuryaken also and they don't bother me at night so I'm hoping this won't either. I don't know who made them other than they were located in Chico Ca. I think they went under though. Just thought I'd share if anyone had the same taste as me...
