Hi
I have a 99 Softail EVO that I have mounted Zodiac wide tire swing arm on, and welded frame side with new "bomerang"
I will be mounting 18x8, 5 inch rim, but wonder if there will be room to use Metzeler 260/40-18 or if I MUST use the Avon 250/40-18?
I have heard that the actual width of the Metzeler is a wider Avon 250, when attached to a 8.5 inch rim.
Really hope someone can help me with this, because I have to order tires on Monday, so I can start making fender.
Which kit do you have? The only Zodiac wide tire kits I have seen...with the weld on " "boomerang" is the 300 kit...all the 250 kits bolt on without welding.

Hi, I have Zodiac 700942 kit, and whit this kit i get my rear tire in center, if i use 250.
That is why i ask about the 260.
The kit is designed for an 1 1/8" belt... so if you use a 20mm belt or a chain it would be no problem....you could probably even do it with the 1 1/8 belt if you are willing to offset the wheel 5mm from center. I am presently installing a radium 250 kit on mine.
