Default 2003 Fatboy frame modification

My Brother has a 2003 Fatboy that the engine has gone bad. He purchased a 2006 Electra glide engine to replace his bad engine. After taking out the Fatboy engine he realized that the mounting points were different and the tranny to engine connection was also different. It is possible to modify the frame and a conversion kit for the tranny to make it all fit and get him back on the road. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thats a rubber mounted engine, non balanced. If you mount that in that frame its gonna shake like a bastard. You should really get the right motor for that situation. I believe it also has the oil tank under the trans which wont fit with the softail shocks. Lots of modifications to make this work. Depending on what he paid for the engine, "nothing" it may be worth the time and expense of modifying to fit.

Lots of work to make it go.

Anything is possible but in this case $NO$. As Jake mentioned the Glide engine has an oil pan and will conflict with the softail shocks. Time for plan "B".
