easy bracket on fatboy...
So... They have two an ST-L1 and an ST-R1. The R1 is 6.25" between holes and the L1 is 9.25" between holes.
Trying to find out if anyone has used the R1 on the fatboy with a "good sized" bag. I am trying very hard to avoid relocating the turn signals.

I had a set of the Easy brackets ST R1 on my bike the bracket uses the front 2 holes on the strut so you dont have to move the T/S to use the bracket. But you are limited as to how big a bag you can use because it will move the bag to far forward with out moving the T/S and you dont get even support with the forward bracket.
The bags that I had were 18 long by 12 high and 7 deep I got them from http://ccsaddlebags.com/saddlebags.html they were the MB 1500 with 3 buckels.
I was told that the 20" long bags had to move the T/S and use the larger bracket

hmmm... that is interesting to know.
The bags I am looking at are spec'd like this:
Height: 11.5"
Width: 17.5"
Depth: 5.5"
Material: Top-grain Cowhide
Leather Weight: 4-6oz
So... sounds like I can use the "smaller" bracket since we are talking about similar sizes.
Do yours seem awkward at all?

They will work for the size bag you are talking about.
Look on the cc saddlebag site they have pictures.
The Easy brackets worked OK, they move the bags out from the bike about 1 1/2 inch, I would have liked them to be closer to the bike . And there is some movement of the bags because there is no lower bracket to hold the bottom of the bags.
Overall if you just use them for trips (more off than on) and not everyday they are a good compromise . If you want bags most of the time get larger bags , move the T/S and use Bubbas Brakes mounting bracket
