Hey there all, maybe someone can help me. I have a 1994 FLSTN and I plan oin changing out to a dual crossover style exhaust. It seems that finding new quality exhausts of that style (ie: full coverage heat shields) is getting to be a problem. I sometimes see exhausts advertised for fitment from 84-06, and sometimes 84-94, 95-up, etc. Does anyone know, or can point me in the right direction, to get true fitment information for exhaust.
I'd contact Samson and ask about possible fitment on a 94 for their true-duals (95-present).. They could tell you if a 94 might possibly fit.
I had a much older version of those with the partial heat sheilds and was pretty choppy looking.. The ones on their website now look a lot better.. I think on the big FL's they're gorgeous. Would look great on your bike I think.
Don't know of too many other true duals for softails unless Vance & Hines has a model out now. Why yes.. yes they do.. Not bad at ALL! 16739 - Fits 86-06 Softail; Available February 07.
You know, the problem is everyone says stay away from the TRUE duals and get the ones wiht the crossover. Harley has a set with full coverage on their Springer (or at least there is one down at the local dealership with the crossover duals), but I don't think it will fit an earlier bike.
Those V&H look great, and I love my current V&H pipes (except they are WAY too wide open so I am scaraficing HP), so I may have to go that route. While I have asked the question before, is there any reason NOT to go with TRUE duals with some nice, free flowing mufflers?
