That was what I thought right off....too much Street Bobish to me and I own booth a FB and SB.

Then toss in some tri color forks and flat/dirt track handle bars for a touch of Sportster 48 and the flat front tire.

Nice platform to start a project, but it should be priced as such. And you know that won't be the case...

Wow I didn't realize how many folks hate this bike. I actually dig it. The pic a couple of posts up with the black pipes looks good. Someone with alot more money and time than me will take that slim and make bada@$!!

I am surprised at all the negative responses here.

I dig it, but I really like the StreetBob's fenders, and this is clearly what they did here.

Put some apes and forwards on it, and you are good to go.

That crossbone's front tire is what I really dig on this bike, although I agree that it should have a 200 rear tire.

I mean, hell.. there are only so many ways to re-make a softail. Yes, a springer head is a big option. But HD just stopped the bones, so there has to be a reason there (my guess is sales figures).

Also, you have to look at the manufacturing perspective... If there is a model that has a vastly different build, it will cost HD a ton more to produce it, and guess where that cost will end up... on the sticker, which will keep buyers away, which will doom the model.

I think it was a decent approach to freshen up the Softail family... I would have been very interested if this one existed when I bought my Lo. Am I trading? hell no.

I read here that HD sold the rights to the Springer, not sure that's true. If so, right up there with Elton John at the 100th party as the biggest bone headed move of the century.

That would be an odd thing to do. I am sure it made sense to someone, but I can't see it. Again, who knows?

Wow, if they did sell the rights to the Springer, that would be like selling a child. Are they that hard up for $$ ? If so, when will production go to Mexico?
I sure hope it is a weird rumor.
