Antique gas Cap
Bought a really cool antique gas cap, has no inner gaskets or plastic inner piece that i need to make it work and screw into the tank, first picture is the shell i have (antique) next 2 pics are what i am looking for, any ideas where i can purchase those pieces? Pictures below. thanks Ted

dremel off the chrome cover on the new style cap then cut clearance into the plastic for the boss in the vintage chrome cap and silicone RTV them together. If you use an automotive silicone gasket material it will withstand contact with fuel. You also need something that acts as a key so that you can tighten it without breaking the adhesive bond.
Is there a vent in the old one or new one?
As for where to get parts cant you buy a stock cap for your tank from ebay?
