i think even a 180 may be pushing it on there. but your headed in the right direction there. Just had to do the basic same thing to my deuce. Bought it from someone who left it under a car port for 6 years in SF bay. had major problems. Just make sure to do it all right the first time. if you dont youll always notice that one thing you rushed on. good luck and have fun
Good luck I just finished my 95 fatboy...well at least for this winter... Keep us posted I'm interested in your build. And the black box under your seat is the ignition module
On a side note; does anyone have any ideas as to the brand of the pipes that are on it? I have looked all over them, short of unbolting them, and don't see any manufacturer name or logo.
Look like Hell Bents, but those would have a WCC logo somewhere.
MT 90 says it is 130mm. Not sure why they would have cut the horns off if not to go wide tire. You can get a 180 (with belt) 200 (with chain). You need to put the newer twin cam swing arm in there. I think with the stock evo swingarm 150-160 is gonna be max. Do a search for Softail wide tire conversion.
I think you are going to max out at 150 without any mods. That is what I have on my 01 Fatty. Pick below.

My front is an Avon 90R21. What size is that?
My rear Avon is an MT90R16. I was told it was a 180mm but that seems wrong.
I scored a set of OEM Fat Boy wheels, so they are 3.5" wide I believe. I know you need an aftermarket swingarm, tranny offset, etc...to run a wide rear tire; but does that mean anything over 200mm? Can I run a 150 or 180 without changing anything? If not, what do I need to change? Since the PO cut the rear fender struts off, the drive belt is really the only thing holding me up. I've read where people say change to a more narrow pulley/belt but that seems odd to me. Thoughts and or input?
Nice man looks like ya got yer hands full there. Was this in a wreck or just some boneheads failed project?
Have ya checked the frame to see if it's strait with no cracked welds, any time I see something like this it's the 1st thing I check.
Just sayin.
Good luck with it.
Thanks man! I'll keep digging and see what other tips I can find.
If anyone has picks of a softail with a 150, 160, 180 or 200 rear tire, please post them up.
Since the frame horns are already gone, might as well put at least a 200 on there...twin cam swing arm will not fit...it is too wide where it bolts to the frame. First pics are 200 with sprocket brake...last one is 250 I am currently installing...200 is with a santee kit...plenty of those still on ebay...250 is with a radium kit
