Default Hill Country Custom Apes?

Seems like a good deal, that way I wouldn't have to buy all the chrome pieces and what not. Looking at getting 16" Wild 1's but these look the same and come with all the pre wiring and wiring lengths. Good Deal??

As for the pre-wiring.. yes. If you get the connectors already installed, even moreso. The bars I got were really good quality, and the wiring worked out great. When I got around to installing the clutch cable and brake lines, I was very disappointed in the quality. Just got my brake and clutch from Magnum today and what a huge difference. I can give more detail on the lack of quality and why I was disappointed if you are still considering it... So yes, bars are good quality, cables not so much.

I would call them and go for the bars pre-wired, then deal with Magnum for all the cables... HCC, although I was disappointed with a few things, are good people... They never answer their phone, and it takes time to get a call back from them, but they do take care of you in the end...

One other note. The bars come wrapped in pipe insulation and then shrink wrapping... My thought was to leave the insulation on as long as possible during installation to try to help protect them. Well I wouldn't recommend that... There was a scratch on my bars, which happened at the bar manufacturer (so HCC says)... They offered to replace it, no problem, but I was too far along in my installation to worry about a small scratch that will be well hidden with half a piece of electrical tape!

Thats what I did. I think I paid more a couple years ago. I had good luck with Hill Country. It took a couple weeks to get my stuff but the price is right. Easy 3-4 hr install. Be sure to put poly bushing in the riser. Dont use the stock ones, their to soft.

Thats the same setup I bought about a year ago, I also bought the magnum chromite cables as an upgrade from HCC. You wont be dissapointed. The only thing I would do different is go 18's instead of 16.

Haha the 18s may be too large for me, I'm only 5'11" and I plan on doing a little traveling

So you can get the bars pre-wired without the cables? Couldn't find that on the site so I guess I would have to call?

I went with their 16in kit over a year ago...prewired, cables and poly bushings (get the poly bushings). They will even put factory plug on if you want them to. I had a very good experiance with the company and the quality of product was good. This was my first ever ape install and this kit made it much easier. Couple pics below. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

Not sure about the controls...as I used the chrome controls I already had. I sorta remember someone else on here purchased them...maybe they will chime in.
