I have been thinking about purchasing an audio system for my 2011 Heritage. So far I have looked at the boom audio, but I was wondering if anyone could recommend a better audio system. Also, I am interested in hearing any information from anyone who may use this audio system. Thanks for your help!
I have heard and seen the Boom Audio on a Heritage. It was the 1 pc unit not the one with handlebar mounted speakers. It looked good and sounded good. The only negative I would have is loosing my windshield bag with the 1 pc unit. The handlebar mounted speaker unit will allow retaining your w/shield bag. Also ck out www.twistedaudio.com

I have a 2006 Heritage. It had the Boom! handle bar mounted system when I bought it. It sounds good and works well IMO. If you are going to use an iPOD or similar you HAVE to have high quality downloads, 256mb/s or better. This will have a significant effect on the qulity and volumn of the sound.
Personally I don't like listening to music when riding. I like the thrum of the engine and the peace of the road. I was considering selling it but decided to keep it. Who knows, someday I may want some tunes.
there is a company that has that address partially in there .com that makes a 500$ windshield mounted radio took a look at it not my cup of tea for there set up. I use a set that I paid around 150 for that was a separate amp I mounted in the tool box and plug my xm into. I have tried and been less than happy with a few brands ones that have the amp installed inside the speaker housing so what kept happening to me was that one would go out and the whole setup would be scrap.
thanks for the comments, I assume Harley Davidson is the only place the boom audio can be purchased or is there some other retail store avasilable to purchase at a better price?
I've got the boom handlebar mounted speakers. I love having music and the control works great. My only complaint is the quality of chrome. Had them for about a year and the chrome is starting to look like a$$. I can hear them at 70 MPH without a windshield but they are mounted on apes. So they are pointed right at my face.
