Well got my last piece of the puzzle in today. Received my Carlini Gangsters today. Now time to install my parts -- handle bars, Fat cat, heavy breather, grips, lay down plate, and finally finish painting and install the derby cover i had Story cut up for me last fall. (Been procrastinating on that one .)
Dont worry Pics and write up too follow stay tuned.
Dis-assembly was a lot easier and quicker than i originally expected. I had concern after reading some of the write ups on the site but in general no issues.
Especially after i had all the right tools.
Assembly was not as quick. Now didnt run into any real issues but did take my time not to ding or nick any thing that i would regret later. The biggest pain was sliding the tank enough to plug the wires in. That pain was increased as i had a lot of fuel in the tank and i unhooked at the throttle body and no the tanks so she was leaking from moment one.
I am really satisfied with the Kurkyan license plate. Really cleans up the rear of the bike compared to the stock billboard plate. Words also can not describe how much i really am impressed on the fit and finish of the Carlini bars. They truly are a high quality show piece.
So now I am almost complete. But i was installing the Figure Engineering Air cleaner and the backing plate is not right so it wont fit. So i have to work with them to make it right or get the right one. In the end the Bars are awesome the Fatcat is loud but my seat of the pants dyno is still smiling.
So there will be one more update with the new AC on and also still need to put on my derby cover from Story. But until then enjoy the pics and thanks for making wallet lighter because if it wasnt for you guys i would still be rocking a stock bike.
