Thanks guys. We are very lucky to both be alive. I have attained an attorney to make sure we are taken care of. I am not a greedy person but I know that my injuries will take a lot of time to heal and I know I will always have issues with my ankle as these types of injuries never get to be 100%. The guy that hit us does have insurance but in the state of Texas the per accident injury coverage is 30K per person or 60K per accident. I have a feeling this will only scratch the surface when covering my medical bills. My lawyer is good at what he does and is making sure we are covered. I'll keep you guys updated.
You aren't greedy man, this dude did wrong. I would say pain and suffering as well. A day that you can't ride your Rocker is worth at least $1000, so for every month you can't ride, that's around $30,000 a month.

Scary stuff. Glad your prognosis is good, though recovery will surly take time. Also good to hear that your wife is well. Best wishes for proper and just compensation. I hope the D-bag is made to pay!!
Wishing you and the wife a speedy recovery. Glad things were not worse. I agree with the others about compensation for your injuries. I'd really want to know why they didn't total the bike with that much damage. I would be leery of it being fixed after that much damage.

I agree. This guy needs to be punished and our justice system is probably not going to do it. Let's hope he's not "judgement proof".
