tail11, did the dealer tell you which spacers you'll need? I'm doing the same thing. Bought a 16" rim & rotor (with bearings) off ebay for $130 shipped and the D402F tire for $90 shipped.
He said that he used two on each side that he got out of the Drag Specalities book, but didn't specify the size. He lowered the rear end about 3/4 of an inch as well.
ultravista : Use the white PVC water pipe with an inside diameter larger than your axle to use to mock up the wheel andcenter it. It's cheap, easy and fast to cut.. etc. etc..
Then measure the pvc and buy the spacers or have them cut.
Remember, Do Not install the tire before centering the wheel and mocking the spacers.. much easier...
