if someone comes up with something good let me know. I have been looking fro a new console fro months and haven't found a thing. I plan to have mine PC'd for the time being. I am hoping this will help since it wont stand out as bad.
I can't see the console being the problem, it would be the actual speedo that goes "in" the console. The console simply houses the on/off switch and some lights... right?
Tank contour would be the only concern I would have.
If you are going with a Dakota speedo, and don't care about the lights on the "dash" then what issues could an '11 pose over a '10?
I am only referring to the Harley chrome low profile dash part #71208-07.I have had one in my hands ,your existing speedo will easily pop into the low profile chrome dash no problem, along with some other parts from your existing dash ,but what is part of the low profile chrome dash is the lighting assembly 5 lights above the dial, your existing wiring harness cannot run those lights, not on my 2011 heritage anyways, but if someone can find away around this I will be next in line to order one.

I wonder if anyone here has the metal working skills to build the part everyone is looking for? I'd like to see a low profile option that gives a little tilt to the speedo, perhaps a little bit of a hood effect, stretches down the length of the tank as narrowly as possible, and a different key style would be nice. Something that doesn't stick up quite so far, or at all.
Anyone good at that sort of thing? You'd probably make a mint and beat HD to it.

I put the slim console on my fatboy lo, had to take dremal to the console mount bracket to move mounting bolt back 1/4", also need to get wire harness for slim, fairly easy job, not sure how to post pic, but it does look a lot better
