Default Stupid question

Can anyone tell my what this plug is hanging from the bottom of the frame? It's a 2011 Deluxe. I have since installed Vance and Hines Big Shot Staggered.

The picture isn't big enough to see what you are talking about.

referring to figure B-14 in the 2010 Softail Service Manual, it's an Exhaust Actuator (HDI)

--

The HDI models feature the active intake/exhaust mainly for noise emissions.
From low to midrange for rpm and load the ECM closes the right muffler and routes the exhaust through the left which is considerably quieter.
The same is to say for the intake valve.
Efficient way to meet noise standards and give the bike some bark when outside the regulated area, but not really helpful for performance

..and btw.. this plug is only used in models OUTSIDE of the US.. you don't have to worry about it, just tuck it away and let it be

There is also another unused plug behind the air cleaner.

The one behind the air cleaner is for use on bikes sold in California; for their emissions standards

Oh ok, I'm learning. On my Dyna I thought it was left over from the OEM intake solenoid thingy when the previous owner put a stage 1 AC on (which I still have the SE AC).
