Very nice looking FB. Looks like the previous owner already did some mods for you. You've got some pipes and a non-stock seat. Check with the dealer/seller and see if the air cleaner has been changed for a stage one and if you've had the ECM recalibrated. This will give you a better idea of where you're starting from. These are usually the first things one does to a newly acquired bike not already configured as such. Get a service manual and talk to a Harley service guy about a good selection of tools to have in the box. Enjoy...
Congrats on your purchase.I have an 05 Deluxe and it has trouble free with exception of some loose spokes which you wont have to worry about. You have a nice looking bike, good luck and ride safe.
Have the same bike same year and love it!! No problems. I went with the Harley Soft bags for the FB - don't come off but I generally like having some foul weather gear with me. I did go with the removeable rack and backrest and glad I did. Recently removed the rear seat and installed a fender bib from Fox Leather - like the look. Congrats!!! You'll enjoy it.

If you do not have a factory manual for it I suggest that be your first purchase. This way you'll get to know your scoot and what tools you'll need. I cannot stress the importance of paying attention to the torque specs. I do all the wrenching, only time I hit a shop is for a tire mounted and balanced. I have a '05 95ci, if you need any input feel free to email me.

Congatulations! Nice looking bike. The best advice I can give you is don't believe everything you read or hear concerning your bike, ESPECIALLY at a Harley shop service dept.
I would not run conventional oil 5k miles but that just me,.. Synthetic- 5k with the oil ok.
As others have mentioned the early twincams do have a problem with cam chain tensioners that according to what I hear should be checked no later than 30k miles.
Not all but most mods have a + and a -.
Use common sense, don't abuse this machine and it will give you many miles of enjoyment.
Ride safe!
I've got a 96" motor in mine and the manual recommends premium fuel. I've run the 10% ethynol. Sometimes you don't have a choice.
My manual says 91 octane. That could be medium grade or premium, depending on where you get gas. If my choices are 89, 91, and 93, then I use medium grade. If my choices are 87, 89, and 91, then I use premium.
Great looking well kept bike. The only problem I can see is that if you get her up over 70 MPH those reflectors on the forks could blow off and hit ya in the noggin. Better take em of. On the plus side the bike will look better off with out them.
