I've got a 2006 Softail and just changed out the switch housings on the handlebars. Every went great except on the throttle side. The wires are not fitting right to reassemble - there's too much wiring in there! I zip tied them to the inside bottom housing exactly as they came off but I'm lost somewhere....any hints? Thanks!
When I replaced my stock housings with HD chrome ones, I wanted to take a sledge hammer to the throttle side. It just wouldn't go back together.
I went in the house for about 40 minutes before going back to try again.
While struggling again a buddy came over. I took a break while we visited.
He left and then like magic, the pieces went right together.
Maybe because I set how much slack I had in the wires, but they weren't a problem when I changed out my bars.
