I'm about to buy my first bike, probably next month, and I've been driving myself crazy going back and forth between the Fatboy Lo and Softail Slim. I sat on both at the dealer, and they're both very comfortable, but there was something about the Slim that felt VERY nice. I've always wanted a Fatboy but I'm diggin' the Slim, and the Slim is probably what I'll end up with. My one and only concern is that my wife would be uncomfortable on longer trips, and I do plan on taking this bike on some trips. I'll probably end up purchasing the Sundowner seat and passenger pegs/mounting kit at some point and, when available, the Slim backrest. Anyway, can't wait!
I don't have a Slim, but I hope I can chime in here. You are gonna have a hard time finding any that won't require moving the signals with the way they are on the Slim. I always thought a cool idea would be to get some exhaust like these:
... and then throw on a 5" wide Garage Leathers swingarm bag on both the left and right side of the bike. Never seen it, but I bet it would look bad ***.
Ok I need to know what pipes those are. I have been wanting to put another solo bag on the right side of my Lo.
I've removed the heel shifter on mine and installed the HD spline cover to make it look clean. Also put the Willie G shifter peg and brake petal on for that balanced look. I'm having a hard time trying what else to change. I really love the look of this bike in stock form. My little princess loves it too!

I hear ya on the wife comfort factor. I looked around a lot and found two good options. 1. Corbin makes a dual touring saddle for the Blackline and Slim. But it is pricey. 2. The Sundowner works as well. After I added up all the relocation signal costs and mounting brackets, sideplates, etc. The Corbin and Sundowner pretty much cost the same.
I went with the Sundowner.......totally ruins the look of the bike but the butts don't hurt....and when she's not riding I just use the stock seat which I find rather comfortable.
Has anyone had any luck with finding highway pegs for the Slim? I am considering two options...1) the Lindby black powdercoated Unibar with highway pegs, or 2) Rivco 1 1/4" frame mount highway pegs (RIV-HD003BK). I like the idea of the Rivcos just because they are so simple, but I'd love to see some pics if anyone has put an engine guard on the slim. I'm 6'5", and I imagine some other tall slim riders are starting to think about the same thing on longer rides!
