Like the look of the Solo Spring seat, makes it even more like a bobber. Think I'll keep the Solo seat that's on my 48 when I trade it. Can I buy just the seat mount from HD?

I think that is a good choice, it is the same seat..
I've removed the heel shifter on mine and installed the HD spline cover to make it look clean. Also put the Willie G shifter peg and brake petal on for that balanced look. I'm having a hard time trying what else to change. I really love the look of this bike in stock form. My little princess loves it too!
if your lookin for some ideas, (see www.fibreplus.co.uk/harleyslim.htm) I've added the pullback risers which take weight of the wrist and hands, giving a more layed back ride. I love my Slim FLS better handling than my Fatboy with the narrower tires also better handling because its lower.
I like the look of the HD spring saddle, but at 6'2",170, with long arms/legs--the stock Slim saddle sits me low, back, and "in the bike" which makes the bike feel tailor made for me. The HD spring saddle sits me up and forward, which is a cramped feel.
Other than Stage 1 (SEPST, black BigShots), my favorite mods clearly are:
1. Blacked out front end and mirrors
2. Lick's solo bag--looks good, excellent quality, carries everything I need for a day trip and overnight in a pinch.

Your bike looks great! Front fender removal looks clean. I don't have the "courage" to remove front fender because I still remember the rock that kicked out of my front tire at speed and hit my sunglasses (Oakleys earned their price that day). It left a divot as if it were a bb gun or buckshot pellet. Glad it hit the shades and not my face or teeth.
Lots of folks remove the front fender. It's all good. Keep in mind what the front fender deflects if you go that route and ride a lot at high speed.
