The reason HD wheels are cheaper is because most (except blade) are constructed from cast aluminum. Not nearly as dense, strong or resilient as aluminum wheels cut and machined from a Forged block of billet aluminum. If you are going to buy wheels, you have to consider the reasons why forged wheels cost more. It may be worth it to you, or it may not.

Nice explanation of the difference between casted parts and billet parts.
