I just noticed that my rear break light isn't working as a running light. It lights up fine when I press either the rear break pedal or front break lever. Does anybody know how to fix this? The light is stock on my 2012 Fat Boy Lo.
The light does not work as a running light on my 2010. HD wants you to buy the plug in adapter for about $59 (which I did) on my FatBoy.
I also went LED all around, including a BrightAss tail light. With the HD wire clipped in, rear signals on all the time. Bewareof local laws, most requiring that running lights in the rear be RED (kit comes with lenses). I got the smoked lenses, but use a red bulb.
Enjoy the 'Boy!
p.s. OOPS! Just reread your post! I thought you meant the tail lights! Sorry...don't have a clue!
Problem fixed. I went and got a new bulb from Advanced Auto Parts and it works fine now. I guess the stock Harley bulbs are just pieces of crap. I'm glad it was an easy fix but surely a stock bulb should last longer then four months. I am curious what broke in the bulb since both elements would still light up.
