pulled the trigger
well with the bike being about 80% back together and the tins out getting painted i couldn't make myself put that goofy lever thingy back on the left handlebar,,,, quick trip to la briola's website and my suicide jockey shift kit is on the way..... any body else run one of these with the standard shift lever they send? like to see some pics of one on a bike,, i got an 09 rocker,, hopin it works out alright
You'll love it, takes some getting used to but it's worth it. I did a home made jobby on mine using an Exile cable and a shift arm I got on ebay for cheap. Had to cut apart the arm so I could position it where I wanted, and fabbing all the brackets for the cable wasn't easy, but it works! Here's a few pics:
Here's the pedal setup before PC. That plate is the controls extension that I made, and yes it got trimmed before PC

And here she is all finished up

is that the same way that labriola has there's set up? from the few pics that i've seen it looks like the cable comes in from the front and must wrap a drum to pull the cable when the pedal is pushed,,, yours looks good bro,, better than i think it'd look with the cable from the front...
Steep learning curve, but after a bunch of miles its easy. I used the Labrioa clutch but fabed my own jockey shift.

Early in the "learning curve" I thought I had made a mistake, and was cursing my stupidity for making this mod. But since I was on a long trip (5,000 miles to Sturgis), I just had to live with it until I got home. By the time I was home, I was comfortable with it! Go figure! The only reason to do this mod is "because its cool!". Going through the gears is a slower, methodical process, where as before I could just jam my way through the gears. Much more relaxed way to ride. I love it NOW.
