I really don't care for wrapped pipes but I have a theory as to how they got so popular. Just like music, people started recording their own bands and the quality was pretty bad but the younger generation thought it was cool so they gave it a name, "lo-fi or grunge." I think people who's pipes were rusted, etc, wrapped them because it was cheap. Very soon many thought it looked cool and started doing it for that reason? I guess you could say the same about flat black pipes and I have 2 bikes with those, so who knows? Guess I'm guilty too. BTW, Nice looking build! Pic: a 450 Rebel I built years ago with a Caddie tail light. This Honda was pretty cool, with these aluminum wheels you could actually run tubeless tires with spokes.

Bike looks good, maybe ditch the console all together. After all if it's a true bobber, you ditch what you don't need. Do you really need the speedo and gauges? I think it would look better without the console all together.

No electronics here. Only a headlight with a 3-way toggle switch, running light and brake light. Moved ignition to motor mount. Of course this picture is while I was single lol.
