I'm planing to make myself an Old-school Softail this winter and was looking for some pics in this Softail section, couldn't find any thread talking about this !!
Don't tell me none of you guys have turned old-school !
I'm planing to make something like this
If you've got pics from bikes other than your own it would also be cool
I went with a weird mix of old and new.....I dunno if mine qualifies for your old school category?
Maybe not old school just weird.....
I been so busy with my lastest project that I havent been around these parts as much I used to be.......Once I get my new toy modded out and ready for the winter I'll be back!!
They make Night Train Snowmobiles too! I'm hooked.

Chaz, what the hell is that? Is that sled just for hill climbs?

Deep Powder mountain sled. Thats a 163 track. I bought a 154 thats identical to the one above. I live in Colorado......Anything less than a 154" track makes for a long day with a shovel!
Heres mine waiting for me to load her on the trailer this Saturday..."Night Sled"! Cant wait to start modding this stealth fighter out!
450 pounds...151HP.
This is the first year in my life I have seriously starting wishing for snow!! My bike is at the tuner getting retuned and I've been hanging out with the Sledheads in the Dootalk forums for the past few days.
+1. My personal peeve is folks considering striped, chop fendered, lowered, black or taped exhaust pipe, non-chrome, springered, jockey ******, "old-school". Those bikes are very, very, cool, but they are for the most part more "hooligan" than "old school" as they are a blend of new and old styling trends. What is "old school" to you? '30's-40's-50's-60's-70's? Hell, even the 80's is "old school" for some folks. Just remember, old bikes were not all chopped, blacked out, striped and sprung. Some were even shiney with glossy colors and pretty ornate with styling features. Figure out what vintage look (or looks) you like, and go with it. It does not have to be what is in fashion right now.
