Chaz, that is a very nice bike. I hope the side bag isn't all you use to pack for an o'ernighter Nice touch though. Holds chapstick, and maybe a small camera??? LOL
I went for an old school look but with new technology with my 09. Much cooler than the Lo.
Good mix of chrome and black. Plain tank, solo bag, 1/2 mood floor boards, solo seat, power coated the rims, front end and bars. Relocated the horn and coil and yanked the center post to clean up the left side some. People ask what year it is so I think I did ok?

put all pre 99 softail parts on it . I'm not sure if my pic posted yet or if I did it right. currently have a heritage front fender with a 21" wheel on it, and am in the process of building a heritage strutless to fit a 200 rear tire, not in pics yet. looks and rides awesome. At 52 yrs young old school to me is Hardtail Baby!!!!. I built this bike 7 yrs ago, when this style was cool. I love the bike so much that instead of building a new bike, with some tin changes I think this will once again be within the new cool desciption, although I still get lots of compliments on the old styling. will include new pic's in a few weeks when my rear fender is done and installed.
how u shortned ur fork this much ?? i couldnt find a fork boot to cover my NT fork even after the progressive 2" lower spring !! or is it the boot u got longer than what i found ??
My front is only 1" shorter, the Boots are available on Ebay, they are not that expensive and look scruffy, the cool diamond cut ones are very expensive.
